8x8 has observed reports of multiple MS Teams account users that reported errors with permissions to be authorized. Investigation shows that this issue is originating from Microsoft's end under the seamless login for 8x8 for Microsoft Teams as the app has been updated and published ahead of schedule. 8x8 services are working as normal.

We have reached out to Microsoft to request a roll of the application manifest published in the store. The plan is to revert to the old, stable application version until proper testing is applied and core issues are fixed. We are currently waiting for Microsoft approval and deployment.

8x8 has implemented mitigation to allow these logins to successfully authenticate. Please retry and if you had previously disabled 8x8 Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) you can now re-enable this feature. If you continue experiencing issues after reattempting with Seamless Login, contact your IT administrator or 8x8 Support to continue troubleshooting the issues.
